The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) is transforming its approach to harnessing private sector innovations by allowing companies to propose novel remote sensing technologies on a continual basis. Departing from rigid submission deadlines, this new strategy, dubbed the Commercial Solutions Opportunity (CSO), seeks to accelerate technological advancements in remote sensing and foster stronger partnerships with the commercial sector.

Beginning next year, the NRO will enable businesses to submit proposals continuously, rather than adhering to strict timelines.
